Are you finding it difficult to get enough zzzzs at night? That's probably because you have unconsciously acquired some poor sleeping habits. For example, many people like to sip a cup of coffee or tea before sleeping. Others go for a jog. Some like watching TV or they stuff their beds with pillows. All these people probably have difficulty sleeping at night.



Here is a quick checklist of good sleeping habits you should take on. Get your beauty sleep and dream sweet dreams by following these simple suggestions.



No Stimulants Before Bedtime
And this includes tea, coffee, a soda or a cola. If you wish to drink something hot, then only warm water is okay. You don't want to pump your system full of caffeine because then it will not be able to relax and rest through the night. Some people will swear that they can't sleep unless they have some tea or coffee but you will notice that these are the very people who claim to up be all night, counting the stars.



Other stimulants that prevent your body from unwinding are, surprisingly, a jog or other types of exercise. When you engage in such activities your body releases adrenaline into your system. This gives you the "kick" or the "second wind" that some athletes experience.



Once adrenaline is released, then your body is re-charged and starts operating at full steam. Thereafter, it won't be able to relax and unwind, leading to another sleepless night. Ensure you complete your exercise at least six hours before bedtime.
